Reuse the brownfield reuse to establish green corridor and patch system

Tangshan Nanhu eco-city is located 1km south of Tangshan City center. The underground of the park is large area of coal goaf and the surface subsided in many places. The surface of the park had sunk 28 sqkm due to coal mining, and there’s industrial waste and rubbish abandoned on the site. Furthermore, this site stops the city developing in the area.

The green corridor system will become the main framework of urban green space network in Tangshan. The green space system based on multi-disciplinary research such as sociology and behavioral science is further clarified, and the public space formed by brownfield reuse represented by Nanhu Lake has become an important factor affecting the structure of urban public space. Through the combination of urban planning, social public management and the introduction of new public behaviors, the form of urban open space will be more abundant, increasing the vitality of the city and improving the quality of life. Meanwhile, the goal of building a livable city is gradually being realized.

The design of central Park makes use of the formed water surface and a large number of original plants on the site to create a public green space for entertainment. The former garbage mountain in the site was renovated and built into a platform-type green mountain, which became the landmark landscape and overlooking point of the core area. The artificial wetland system helps purifying the polluted Qinglong River, and serve as the replenishing water source of the park lake; The dried and discarded branches, branches and trunks of the ecological city are utilized to create ecological revetment, and local materials are used to turn waste into treasure.

Through the reconstruction of land use pattern, the core area landscape with Tangshan characteristics will be created. The landscape construction will drive the development of surrounding cities, and the governance of the subsidence area will be upgraded from the simple environmental transformation to the height of urban ecology and sustainable development.From the ecological service value, land ecological value and other aspects of prediction evaluation, the design, the ecological value of the region increased by about three times.
